To be honest, we’re Johnny Come Latelies. But my Mother always said at least two things: ‘Never start a sentence with a preposition’ and ‘Better late than never.’
So now, without further ado, we proudly present the R1D Sit/Stand Aerodesk System with our Integrated Power Distribution Units to you, our valued design partner.
In its final iteration, this is the new R1D Sit/Stand Aerodesk System with Integrated Power Distribution and Cable Management. The Black Panels are Metal, Powder Coated to Match the Frames and come with Magnets.
Consistent with our Core Value that ‘Less is More’, more or less, we’ve applied our reductive design methodology, keeping the Aerodesk System Simple, Attractive and Economical. Like the Basiq Desk System that spawned it, the Aero-Desk System solves problems without creating new ones.
As Always, our system is available in a full array of Powder Coat finishes as long as they are Satin Black, White or Gray and in any Woodgrain Veneer or PLAM Pattern that you want. Fabric Wrapped Divider Panels are also available upon request.
In Warren_speak, it’s bitchin’ when you work on something for months, drawing on the strengths and resources of manufacturers, vendors, creative partners and especially clients that give you the opportunity to make something really cool and it finally comes together. Buying parts from overseas scared me but I was really lucky to have found reliable suppliers that I could actually communicate with. Even if you happen to be a ‘Local’ and speak American English, you’d know how hard that can be sometimes…
But. But this week, the Icing on the Cake was this little custom 4 Channel Cable Snake I got from a Chinese Trading Partner and so many things had to line up just right for it to work and they did as you can see. Yippee!
The next and Final Test will be a ‘Finish’ Sample in Rustic White Oak for a Pre-Production Client Review and Sign-Off. I can’t wait and I hope you can feel my excitement cuz I think it’s gonna be really Boss.

The R1D Sit/Stand Aerodesk System with Integrated Power Distribution
Each Tandem or Single Desk Set employs Dual Motors and Three Stage (3 Telescoping) Square Tube Legs per seat. The Lift Mechanisms are UL Approved and BIFMA Rated. Included R1Dplex+ UL Approved Power Distribution Units are rated at 40 Amps, sport four Receptacles, two 4.8 Amp High-Speed USB Chargers and connect to each other with our End-to-End Whips.
We also provide End-Panels as Pictured and Electrical Enclosures to cover floor mounted Poke-Throughs that give the Electrical Contractor a place to install our Quick Disconnect Receptacles in the event that the Desk Sets are placed in an open area far away from a wall outlet.
Fundamentally, we’re problem solvers and can provide a full system of custom parts to address any condition. Additionally, we enjoy a well established relationship with Wiremold/Legrand who can assist you in specifying just the right Poke-Thru or Power-Pole for your particular infrastructure application and we have years of experience in dealing with and assisting Architects, PMs, EEs and Electrical Contractors.
